The Word House

"It has become an East End institution” GITTV Magazine

The Word House is one of London’s most diverse and high-quality spoken word nights.

We showcase some of the finest poets on the UK’s live literature circuit, and offer a platform for anybody who wants to share their work.

Founded in 2011, our aim is to create an inclusive and vibrant night out that brings together new audiences and fans of the art form.

Our online home shares the latest updates on the spoken word poetry scene, including poetry films, reviews of new work, interviews with artists and special features.

Previous performers include Salena Godden, Mark Grist, Hollie McNish, Sabrina Mahfouz, Dizraeli, Polarbear, Malika Booker, Ross Sutherland, Zena Edwards and Inua Ellams.
